Exempt Position

Food & Beverage Manager
Oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.  The F&B manager is responsible for ensuring a dynamic and unique guest experience and is dedicated to engaging the guest, monitoring the flow of service, ensuring adherence to service standards and being a visible presence on the floor. The person in this role will actively support the overall goals of the property.

Housekeeping Manager
To direct and supervise the daily operation of Resort and Villas Housekeeping and the cleaning of all public areas and internal offices.  Insure that the level of operation and quality of service is to the standards of Rancho Valencia as well as maximize profits and manage expenses wherever possible. The person in this role is responsible for maintaining Forbes Five Star and AAA 5 Diamond standards in the day to day operation as well as in the overall service culture.

Bar Server | Part-Time
This position will serve guests food and beverage in a gracious professional manner. Provide a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of our existing steps of service. This position requires also requires a minimum of 1 year work experience in a high volume beverage or nightclub setting. Must have knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, mixed cocktails; including bottle service. San Diego Food Handlers card and ability to communicate proficiently in English is required. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. 

Bar Server Assistant | Full-Time and Part-Time available
The person in this role assist Bar servers in providing quality food and beverageservice to guests, according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness oftables, service areas and equipment.Stock all wares and equipment needed for service.     

Front Office Agent | Full-Time
The Front Office Agent represents the resort to the guests throughout their stay by working with all departments to ensure guest satisfaction and exceed their expectation. The person in this role greets guests with an enthusiastic approach and helpful manner. Assist and anticipate guests’ needs in order to make their stay memorable, provide a high level of service and promote Rancho Valencia notoriety. This position requires customer service experience preferably in an upscale hotel or resort environment. Must be computer literate, knowledge of Word and Excel. Must have flexible availability for varying shift days and
times. Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English. 

General Maintenance Person | Full-Time
The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machines, equipment, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems. A Maintenance Technician keeps all structures in working order through maintenance and repairs. Some duties include pipe fitting, insulating, boiler making, welding, carpentry, machining, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing new equipment, and repairing walls, floors and stairs. This position requires 5 years maintenance experience including but not limited to: basic electrical, dry-wall, plumbing, wood repairs, TV, Internet, a/c, troubleshooting and repair, must communicate proficiently in English. Previous experience in hotel or resort environment preferred, current extended certifications in a/c and electric are a plus. Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.  

Housekeeping Room Attendant | Full-Time
The Room attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of the guest rooms interior and exterior including guest patios, entrance areas and linen closets. Other responsibilities include deep cleaning and performing special projects. Room attendants use personalized mobile packs to carry their supplies and are responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms. Room attendants contribute to the resort commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork.     

Housekeeping Villas Room Attendant | Full-Time
This position requires 2 years housekeeping experience preferably in a resort or hotel environment. The person in this role must be able to push/pull/lift a minimum of 25lbs. frequently and 30lbs. occasionally and be able to stand for a long periods of time . Must have basic English communication skills.

In-Room Dining Server | Full-Time
The person in this role serves guests food and beverage in a gracious professional manner. Provides a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of existing steps of service. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience in Room Service in an resort environment, English communication skills, Engaging, warm personality, and a valid San Diego Food Handler's Card. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Line Cooks | Full-Time
This position is responsible for preparing and planning for breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Maintains established quality standards. Know assigned menus and be able to assist other employees. Successful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years culinary work experience in a fine dining environment. Candidates that do not have a culinary degree must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years fine dining experience cooking international and regional cuisine. All candidates must possess a San Diego Food Handler's card and must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English. 

Pool Attendant | Part-Time
The pool attendant’s primary role is to engage with pool guests in order to ensure the guest has all needed amenities and supplies.  While tending to guests, the Attendant is also responsible for the set up and tidiness o the pool at all times throughout the shift.  This requires maintaining a pristine level of cleanliness and organization in the following areas; Spa pool, Resort pool, Cabanas, lounge chairs, restrooms and pool locker rooms.  The attendant also provides water, clean towels; refreshing spritz and delivers daily amenities to guests throughout the day.

Pool Server | Full-Time
This position requires a minimum of 1-year experience as a restaurant server or equivalent. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift/pull/push at least 30lbs frequently, and must be able to use up selling techniques successfully. Must have a valid San Diego Food Handlers card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work weekends and holidays. 

Restaurant Food Runner | Part-Time
This position requires 6 months current experience as a food runner in a fine dining environment and 1-2 years experience as a bus person in an upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card, and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Restaurant Host/Hostess | Part-Time 
The person in this role Serve as consistent point of contact for restaurant outlets. Courteously greets and escorts guests to assigned tables and assist in seating, ensuring existing standards of service. Answering phone calls as necessary with the highest level of professional language in a calm, clear and concise manner. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience as a host/greeter in an up-scale restaurant environment, English communication skills, Engaging, warm personality, and a valid San Diego Food Handler's Card. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. 

Restaurant Server Assistant A.M.Full-Time and Part-Time available
This position will assist restaurant servers in providing quality food and beverage service to guests, according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment. This position requires 1 year current experience as a food runner in a fine dining environment and 2-3 years experience as a bus person in a upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Restaurant Server P.M. | Full-Time
The person in this role will serve guests food and beverage in a gracious professional manner. This position will provide a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of our existing steps of service. Maintain and improve check averages to ensure the financial success of the operation. This position requires also requires a minimum of 2 year work experience as a server or captain in a Fine Dining environment.  Must have knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, mixed cocktails. San Diego Food Handlers card and ability to communicate proficiently in English is required.

Spa Massage Therapist | Part-Time
This position requires a minimum of 2 years Massage experience in a resort spa setting, overall minimum of 5 years' experience, excellent Swedish, Deep Therapeutic, Hot Stone and pre-natal massage, CA Certification of Massage. Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.

Spa Nail Technician | Full-Time
The person in this role will provide professional care of nails for members and guests, provide uncompromised attention to quality of service and follow all protocols. This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience and a current State Board License. Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English and must be available to work Sundays and Mondays, including holidays.
