Food & Beverage Manager
Oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation. The F&B manager is responsible for ensuring a dynamic and unique guest experience and is dedicated to engaging the guest, monitoring the flow of service, ensuring adherence to service standards and being a visible presence on the floor. The person in this role will actively support the overall goals of the property.

Front Office Assistant Manager
Assists the Front Office Manager in overseeing day to day operation of the Front office including (Front desk, Concierge, PBX, Gate House, Guest services and Night Audit) and ensuring that highest standard of services are maintained. Position directs and works with managers and employees to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient check in and checkout process.  Ensures guest and employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the department.   The person in this role is the primary evening Manager on Duty.

Bar Server | Part-Time
This position will serve guests food and beverage in a gracious professional manner. Provide a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of our existing steps of service. This position requires also requires a minimum of 1 year work experience in a high volume beverage or nightclub setting. Must have knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, mixed cocktails; including bottle service. San Diego Food Handlers card and ability to communicate proficiently in English is required. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. 

Bar Server Assistant | Part-Time 
The person in this role assist Bar servers in providing quality food and beverageservice to guests, according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness oftables, service areas and equipment.Stock all wares and equipment needed for service.    

Dishwasher/Steward | Full-Time and Part-Time available
The person in this role is responsible for washing and cleaning glass, china, silver, pots, pans and cooking equipment by machine and hand. Keeps the dish/pot washing area and equipment clean and organized. Additionally cares for and minimize breakage of all such equipment and completes any cleaning projects as advised by Stewarding Supervisor or Chef. Must be able to lift/carry up to 30lbs. frequently and 45lbs. occasionally. Flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must have basic English communication skills.  

Front Office Agent | Full-Time
Represent the resort to the guests throughout their stay by working with all departments to ensure guest satisfaction and exceed their expectation.  Greet guests with an enthusiastic approach and helpful manner. Assist and anticipate guests’ needs in order to make their stay memorable, provide a high level of service and promote Rancho Valencia notoriety.

Front Office Supervisor | Full-Time
Supervises day to day operation of the Front Desk including and ensuring that highest standard of services are maintained. Position works with managers and employees to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient arrival and departure experience.  Ensures guest and employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the department.  

General Maintenance Person | Full-Time
The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machines, equipment, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems. A Maintenance Technician keeps all structures in working order through maintenance and repairs. Some duties include pipe fitting, insulating, boiler making, welding, carpentry, machining, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing new equipment, and repairing walls, floors and stairs. This position requires 5 years maintenance experience including but not limited to: basic electrical, dry-wall, plumbing, wood repairs, TV, Internet, a/c, troubleshooting and repair, must communicate proficiently in English. Previous experience in hotel or resort environment preferred, current extended certifications in a/c and electric are a plus. Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.  

Housekeeping Room Attendant | Full-Time
The Room attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of the guest rooms interior and exterior including guest patios, entrance areas and linen closets. Other responsibilities include deep cleaning and performing special projects. Room attendants use personalized mobile packs to carry their supplies and are responsible for cleaning and servicing guest rooms. Room attendants contribute to the resort commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork.

Housekeeping Turndown Attendant | Full-Time (Evening position)
Turndown attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of the guest rooms (interior and exterior including guest patios, entrance areas and kitchens). Turndown shifts are the afternoon shifts into evening. Other responsibilities include deep cleaning and performing special projects.  Turn down attendants contribute to the resorts commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork.  

Human Resources Coordinator/Staff Ambassador | Full-Time
The Human Resources Coordinator and Staff Ambassador is the primary contact for new employee on-boarding and general employee communications. The person is this role will be well versed on the generalities and basics of our Health Benefits plans, 401k offerings, employee discounts and will always have Human Resources leadership support for more complex related matters. Another key focus for this role is the Staff Ambassador’s RV 101 Employee Program beginning with New Hire welcome communications, preparing the new employee with first day expectations, later offering the RV 101 tour and test and will always urge and encourage the adherence to FORBES Five Star standards. The person in this role leads the administrative and clerical support for the HR department including but not limited to creating documents, basic spreadsheets, presentations and flyers. The person in this role maintains personnel, compliance and medical files in accordance with specific legal guidelines and is a liaison for staff assisting sharing of messages and offering employees assistance with basic paperwork such as change of address, direct deposit and similar. The best candidate is proficient with all basic Microsoft Office applications, has a polished demeanor and professional phone manner. The person in this role takes direction well, is motivated to learn, appreciates being in a support role and has a “service heart”.    

Line Cooks | Full-Time
This position is responsible for preparing and planning for breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Maintains established quality standards. Know assigned menus and be able to assist other employees. Successful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years culinary work experience in a fine dining environment. Candidates that do not have a culinary degree must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years fine dining experience cooking international and regional cuisine. All candidates must possess a San Diego Food Handler's card and must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English. 

Overnight Cook | Full-Time
The Overnight Cook is responsible to prepare and serve food items for guests and employees during the overnight. Complete nightly prep work and to prepare for breakfast shift. Maintain established quality standards. Know assigned menus. Must be self-motivated, dependable, reliable and willing to work under minimal supervision. Successful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years cooking experience in a fine dining environment. Candidates that do not have a culinary degree must have a minimum of 3 years cooking experience in breakfast and lunch in international and regional cooking in a fine dining establishment.

Reservations Sales Agent | Full-Time
The person in this role will provide a courteous, knowledgeable first contact for all incoming reservation calls. This position is responsible for selling a full guest experience by answering questions on rates, hotel facilities, services and special promotions and takes the call beyond simply taking a reservation request. Additional responsibilities are to process all reservations, changes and cancellations received by GDS, on-line, fax or email, Will work closely with Group Sales and Catering Department. Must have flexible availability and must be able to communicate proficiently in English. 

Restaurant Host/Hostess | Full-Time and Part-Time available
The person in this role Serve as consistent point of contact for restaurant outlets. Courteously greets and escorts guests to assigned tables and assist in seating, ensuring existing standards of service. Answering phone calls as necessary with the highest level of professional language in a calm, clear and concise manner. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience as a host/greeter in an up-scale restaurant environment, English communication skills, Engaging, warm personality, and a valid San Diego Food Handler's Card. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. 

Restaurant Server P.M. | Part-Time
The person in this role will serve guests food and beverage in a gracious professional manner. This position will provide a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of our existing steps of service. Maintain and improve check averages to ensure the financial success of the operation. This position requires also requires a minimum of 2 year work experience as a server or captain in a Fine Dining environment.  Must have knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, mixed cocktails. San Diego Food Handlers card and ability to communicate proficiently in English is required.
