Bar Food Runner | Full-Time
This position requires 6 months current experience as a food runner in a fine dining environment and 1-2 years experience as a bus person in a upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card, and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Bar Server Assistant | Part-Time
The person in this role assist Bar servers in providing quality food and beverageservice to guests, according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness oftables, service areas and equipment.Stock all wares and equipment needed for service.     

Bartender | Full-Time
Courteously, enthusiastically, and efficiently takes orders, prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and meals to guests in accordance with existing steps of service. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience as a bartender in a resort environment.  Must have a valid San Diego Food Handlers card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. 

General Maintenance Person | Full-Time
The General Maintenance Person repairs and maintains machines, equipment, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems. The person in this role, keeps all structures in working order through maintenance and repairs. Some duties include pipe fitting, insulating, boiler making, welding, carpentry, machining, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing new equipment, and repairing walls, floors and stairs. This position requires 5 years maintenance experience including but not limited to: basic electrical, dry-wall, plumbing, wood repairs, TV, Internet, a/c, troubleshooting and repair, must communicate proficiently in English. Previous experience in hotel or resort environment preferred, current extended certifications in a/c and electric are a plus. Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.  

Food & Beverage Purchaser/Receiver | Full-Time
The Food & Beverage Purchaser/Receiver is responsible to purchase and receive products for all F&B departments within the hotel. To check products for quality and weight and to promptly deliver them to the appropriate areas. Organization and maintenance of all Food & Beverage storage areas. Additionally the person in this role is responsible to conduct daily pulls of food and beverages using requisition system.  The F&B Purchaser/Receiver is also responsible to code and log invoices, take daily inventory of all food, beverage and paper goods and to place orders with specific vendors. Must have a valid San Diego Food Handlers card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. 

In-Room Dining Server | Full-Time
The person in this role serves guests food and beverage in a gracious professional manner. Provides a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of existing steps of service. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience in Room Service in an resort environment, English communication skills, Engaging, warm personality, and a valid San Diego Food Handler's Card. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Line Cooks | Full-Time
This position is responsible for preparing and planning for breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Maintains established quality standards. Know assigned menus and be able to assist other employees. Successful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years culinary work experience in a fine dining environment. Candidates that do not have a culinary degree must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years fine dining experience cooking international and regional cuisine. All candidates must possess a San Diego Food Handler's card and must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English. 

Painter | Full-Time
Under general supervision, perform painting, finishing, and maintaining of a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures; Painter is responsible for the good looking condition of the Resort including Tennis, Spa, Villas, guestrooms, bar and restaurant, Clubhouse meeting rooms and public space functionality in regards to paint; keep all of the resort in good condition with minimum down time by providing day to day maintenance. Protect resort assets to ensure value is maintained. Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.  

Pastry Cook | Full-Time
Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing and planning of sweet items, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, breads and chocolates for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as various specialty items for amenities and special functions.  Maintains established quality standards. Knows assigned menus and be able to assist other employees.  Is flexible and willing to perform any task to better service.  Openly accepts and positively responds to changing environment. Practices cooperation and work effectively with others.

Restaurant Food Runner | Part-Time

The person in this role Serve as consistent point of contact for restaurant outlets. Courteously greets and escorts guests to assigned tables and assist in seating, ensuring existing standards of service. Answering phone calls as necessary with the highest level of professional language in a calm, clear and concise manner. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience as a host/greeter in an up-scale restaurant environment, English communication skills, Engaging, warm personality, and a valid San Diego Food Handler's Card. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

This position will assist restaurant servers in providing quality food and beverage service to guests, according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. This position requires 1 year current experience as a food runner in a fine dining environment and 2-3 years experience as a bus person in a upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. 

Restaurant Server A.M. | Part-Time
The person in this role will serve guests food and beverage in a gracious professional manner. This position will provide a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of our existing steps of service. Maintain and improve check averages to ensure the financial success of the operation. This position requires also requires a minimum of 2 year work experience as a server or captain in a Fine Dining environment.  Must have knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, mixed cocktails. San Diego Food Handlers card and ability to communicate proficiently in English is required.

Spa Cleaner | Part-Time
The Spa Cleaner’s role is to insure that the spa and fitness facility exceeds the guests expectation for cleanliness and is properly stocked with all amenities.  The Spa Cleaner will be aware of guest appointments and flow of business so they can be proactive in cleaning and the clearing of all spa and fitness areas.

Spa Concierge | Part-Time
The Spa Concierge is responsible for scheduling and promoting spa services on the phone and in person. The Spa Concierge provides information about our products and service menu, product ingredients and spa facility to enhance the guests experience and promote Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa. The Spa Concierge is responsible to give thorough tours with detailed information to all guests, so they can benefit from all aspects of the spa offerings The Spa Concierge supports all aspects of retail and compiles statistical information as needed and requested. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience in an up-scale customer service related field, engaging, warm personality, and the ability to communicate proficiently in English.

Spa Massage Therapist | Part-Time
This position requires a minimum of 2 years Massage experience in a resort spa setting, overall minimum of 5 years' experience, excellent Swedish, Deep Therapeutic, Hot Stone and pre-natal massage, SD County license & CA Certification of Massage. Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.

Spa Nail Technician | Part-Time
The person in this role will provide professional care of nails for members and guests, provide uncompromised attention to quality of service and follow all protocols. This position requires a minimum of 5
years’ experience and a current State Board License. Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English and must be available to work Sundays and Mondays, including holidays.
