Employment
Rancho Valencia Resort is an EOE, and provides an exceptional drug-free working environment. Executive Assistant
The Executive Assistant offers daily support to the General Manager and Director of Operations and occasional support for others on the Executive Team. The person in this role will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ability to anticipate needs, and superior computer skills including strong proficiency in more advance features of excel and power point. The Executive Assistant will help with communications to and from the hotel guests, villa owners, private residents and our ownership group. The person in this role will manage calendar requests and meeting setup and coordination as well as being capable of multi-tasking and must be able to change course as our needs and priorities shift. Success in this position requires a minimum of 5 years previous experience with at least 3 of those years being in a resort or hotel environment. Previous experience in a 4 or 5 star property is preferred but not required. This position will be available for a March 1 commencement however, we are actively recruiting to find the right person!
Sales Manager
Exempt - Successful candidates will bring a minimum of 5 years recent Hotel or Resort Sales Manager experience preferably in a luxury environment. The ideal candidate will have strong ties to the San Diego market and will be very familiar with our comp set. Requirements include professional, polished demeanor, excellent English communication skills, strong presentation skills and an engaging demeanor. Effective negotiation skills and ability to work well with others is a necessity in order to support the initiatives of a great existing sales team. The person in this role will be selling for the new Rancho Valencia opening after a major renovation in Summer 2012 and will need the ability to engage the prospective clients during the construction phase of the property. Previous experience with Daylight or other Event booking system helpful. Sales experience within hospitality industry is a non-negotiable requirement for this position.
