Employment
Rancho Valencia Resort is an EOE, and provides an exceptional drug-free working environment. A drug test upon job offer and a criminal background check and reference checks are pre-requisites of employment. Catering & Conference Services Manager

Full-time/Exempt; The Catering & Conference Services Manager is responsible for booking and coordinating private social and special occasion events as well as corporate day meetings and is responsible for full coordination of group events such as executive retreats, corporate meetings and incentive programs that are booked by our Sales team. Success in this role requires excellent communication and sales skills, the ability to position Rancho Valencia as a premiere private event venue and working knowledge of the services and amenities offered by Rancho Valencia and the surrounding San Diego area. Strong ties to the San Diego market and suggestive selling techniques are essential to this position. Candidates must be available weekends and holidays, must have a professional appearance and must be able to communicate proficiently in English. Previous experience in the same or a similar role in an upscale resort environment is required.

Human Resources Assistant

Part-time; The HR Assistant must have strong administrative skills and must be a service oriented individual. The Assistant will coordinate health benefits and new hire information, will assist in written and verbal communication and will help with record keeping and maintenance of personnel files and compliance data.  Proficient English communication skills and the ability to take direction well are a must!  This position is ideal for an internship or anyone considering a career in Hospitality or Human Resources.

Laundry Attendant

Full-time/Temporary; A.M. and P.M. shifts available. Previous laundry experience in an upscale hotel environment required; must have flexible availability including weekends and holidays. English communication skills preferred.

Line Cook

Full-time; We are looking for a strong cook with a minimum of 2 years fine dining culinary work experience. The ideal candidates will bring a steady history of fine dining employment, an ability to make strong contributions to our culinary team and the willingness to grow and develop within the Rancho Valencia and Auberge Families. This is not an entry level position. Candidates must have the ability to communicate in English with guests, visitors and staff members to their understanding. Flexible availability preferred.

Overnight Prep Cook

Full-time;  The Prep Cooks set the tone for the Cooks’ productivity and the flow of service in the kitchen. Strong knife skills and the ability to think on your feet is necessary. This position requires a minimum of 1 year previous work experience in a fine dining environment; English communication skills preferred.

Full-time/Temporary; Requires a minimum of 2 years prior pastry experience in a Fine Dining environment, Candidate must be adept with most recent pastry trends and techniques, Ability to communicate proficiently in English. Temporary and regular placement available.

Retail Assistant Spa Concierge

Part-time; The Retail Assistant responsibilities include assisting with inventory count, monitoring quantity of stock and compiling retail sales information as requested by the Director of Spa and Retail. The Retail Assistant will help the Spa Management with administrative tasks as directed. The Concierge duties will include greeting spa guests, providing facility tours and assisting with guest check-in and checkout of spa facility. The Spa Concierge also handles appointment scheduling. 
The position requires strong computer skills and excellent communication skills. Candidate must be gracious even when under pressure. Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year previous customer service experience in an upscale environment. Previous experience in an upscale spa preferred. Weekend and holiday availability required. Candidates must be able to communicate in English with guests, visitors and staff members to their understanding.
