Exempt Position

Food & Beverage Manager
The person in this role will oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation. The F&B manager is responsible for ensuring a dynamic and unique guest experience and is dedicated to engaging the guest, monitoring the flow of service, ensuring adherence to service standards and being a visible presence on the floor. The person in this role will actively support the overall goals of the property.This position requires 1-3 years current experience managing luxury resort or fine dining restaurant operation. Must be able to work variable schedule including nights, weekends and all major holidays, must have a valid San Diego County Food Handlers Card and TIPS certification. Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.  

Hourly/Non-Exempt Positions 

Banquet Server | On-Call
The Banquet Server provides food and beverage service to the guest in a gracious professional manner. Provides a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of our existing steps of service. This position requires a minimum of 3 years banquet server experience in a 4 or 5 star resort environment. Must have a valid San Diego Food Handlers card and must be able to communicate proficiently in English.  

Banquet Houseperson | On-Call
The Banquet Housemen is responsible for setting-up meeting rooms, audio visual equipment, and private events in accordance to the banquet event order specifications. Helps with polishing plates, glassware as well as set-up of cooking equipment, buffet, and coffee breaks. This position requires a minimum of 2 years banquet server experience in a 4 or 5 star resort environment. Must have a valid San Diego Food Handlers card and must be able to communicate proficiently in English.

Bar Server | Full-Time and Part-Time available
This position will serve guests food and beverage in a gracious professional manner. Provide a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of our existing steps of service. This position requires also requires a minimum of 1 year work experience in a high volume beverage or nightclub setting. Must have knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, mixed cocktails; including bottle service. San Diego Food Handlers card and ability to communicate proficiently in English is required. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Bartender | Part-Time 
Courteously, enthusiastically, and efficiently takes orders, prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and meals to guests in accordance with existing steps of service. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience as a bartender in a resort environment. Must have a valid San Diego Food Handlers card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. 

Bar Host/Hostess | Part-Time
The person in this role Serve as consistent point of contact for restaurant outlets. Courteously greets and escorts guests to assigned tables and assist in seating, ensuring existing standards of service. Answering phone calls as necessary with the highest level of professional language in a calm, clear and concise manner. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience as a host/greeter in an up-scale restaurant environment, English communication skills, Engaging, warm personality, and a valid San Diego Food Handler's Card. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Bar Food Runners | Part-Time
This position requires 6 months current experience as a food runner in a fine dining environment and 1-2 years experience as a bus person in a upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

In-Room Dining Order Taker | Full-Time
The In-Room Dining Order Taker is responsible for answering the phone calls with the highest level of professional language in a calm, clear, and concise manner. Takes all orders accurately and enters orders into POS system. Takes reservations using Open Table & is fully knowledgeable about all Food & Beverage events. Assist in setting trays accurately and efficiently. Works closely with Manager performing daily tasks. This position requires prior guest contact experience, able to lift/carry up to 25lbs. frequently and 40lbs. occasionally. Flexible availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays. Must have basic English communication skills.

In-Room Dining Server | Part-Time

Line Cooks | Full-time and Part-time Available
This position is responsible for preparing and planning for breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Maintains established quality standards. Know assigned menus and be able to assist other employees. Successful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years culinary work experience in a fine dining environment. Candidates that do not have a culinary degree must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years fine dining experience cooking international and regional cuisine. All candidates must possess a San Diego Food Handler's card and must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English.

Restaurant Food Runners | Full-Time and Part-Time available

Restaurant Server Assistants | Full-time and Part-time Available 
This position will assist restaurant servers in providing quality food and beverage service to guests, according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment. This position requires 1 year current experience as a food runner in a fine dining environment and 2-3 years experience as a bus person in a upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.  

Spa Nail Technician | On-Call
Provide professional care of nails for members and guests, provide uncompromised attention to quality of service and follow all service standards. This position requires a minimum of 5 years' experience and a current State Board License. Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English and must be available to work Sundays and Mondays, including holidays.

Spa Massage Therapist| On-Call
This position requires a minimum of 2 years Massage experience in a resort spa setting, overall minimum of 5 years' experience, excellent Swedish, Deep Therapeutic, Hot Stone and pre-natal massage, NCBTMB certification (dated within two years of hire), SD County license & CA Certification of Massage. Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.

Steward/Dishwasher | Part-Time 
The person in this role is responsible for washing and cleaning glass, china, silver, pots, pans and cooking equipment by machine and hand. Keeps the dish/pot washing area and equipment clean and organized. Additionally cares for and minimize breakage of all such equipment and completes any cleaning projects as advised by Stewarding Supervisor or Chef. Must be able to lift/carry up to 30lbs. frequently and 45lbs. occasionally. Flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must have basic English communication skills.  

Seasonal/Temporary Positions

Pool Cooks | Seasonal Full-Time
The person in this tole maintains established quality standards in our service pool areas. Know assigned menus and be able to assist other employees. Successful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years culinary work experience in a fine dining environment. Candidates that do not have a culinary degree must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years fine dining experience cooking international and regional cuisine. All candidates must possess a San Diego Food Handler's card and must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English.

Pool Servers | Seasonal Part-Time
This position requires a minimum of 1 year experience as a restaurant server or equivalent. Must be able to stand for long periods of time, lift/pull/push at least 30lbs frequently, and must be able to use up selling techniques successfully. Must have a valid San Diego Food Handlers card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work weekends and holidays.
