Director of Housekeeping
The Housekeeping Director will direct and supervise the daily operation of Resort and Villas Housekeeping, Laundry and the cleaning of all public areas and internal offices. Insure that the level of operation and quality of service is to the standards of Rancho Valencia as well as maximize profits and manage expenses wherever possible. The person in this role is responsible for maintaining Forbes Five Star and AAA 5 Diamond standards in the day to day operation as well as in the overall service culture. The person in this role must have previous experience in housekeeping management in four to five diamon resort.

Marketing Manager & Graphic Artist
Marketing Manager & Graphic Artist will assist the Creative Director with the execution, creation and distribution of all internal and external creative, marketing communications and public relations efforts. The Person in this role will need to have a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, MS Office, Mac & PC. Strong knowledge of print production process is needed. Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Graphics, Graphic Design, Fine Arts or related major. The person in this role must have a minimun of 2-4 years experience in computer graphis or related area and must be able to meet deadlines effectively.

Bar Server Assistant | Part-Time
This position will assist restaurant servers in providing quality food and beverage service to guests, according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment. This position requires 1 year current experience as a food runner in a fine dining environment and 2-3 years experience as a bus person in a upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.  

Dishwasher/Steward | Full-Time
The person in this role is responsible for washing and cleaning glass, china, silver, pots, pans and cooking equipment by machine and hand. Keeps the dish/pot washing area and equipment clean and organized. Additionally cares for and minimize breakage of all such equipment and completes any cleaning projects as advised by Stewarding Supervisor or Chef. Must be able to lift/carry up to 30lbs. frequently and 45lbs. occasionally. Flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Must have basic English communication skills.     

General Maintenance Person | Full-Time
The General Maintenance person repairs and maintains machines, equipment, plumbing, heating and air conditioning systems. The person in this role keeps all structures in working order through maintenance and repairs. Some duties include pipe fitting, insulating, boiler making, welding, carpentry, machining, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing new equipment, and repairing walls, floors and stairs. This position requires 5 years maintenance experience including but not limited to: basic electrical, dry-wall, plumbing, wood repairs, TV, Internet, a/c, troubleshooting and repair, must communicate proficiently in English. Previous experience in hotel or resort environment preferred, current extended certifications in a/c and electric are a plus. Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.  

In-Room Dining Order Taker | Full-Time
The In-Room Dining Order Taker is responsible for answering the phone calls with the highest level of professional language in a calm, clear, and concise manner. Takes all orders accurately and enters orders into POS system. Takes reservations using Open Table & is fully knowledgeable about all Food & Beverage events. Assist in setting trays accurately and efficiently. Works closely with Manager performing daily tasks. This position requires prior guest contact experience, able to lift/carry up to 25lbs. frequently and 40lbs. occasionally. Flexible availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays. Must have basic English communication skills.

Line Cooks | Full-Time
This position is responsible for preparing and planning for breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Maintains established quality standards. Know assigned menus and be able to assist other employees. Successful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years culinary work experience in a fine dining environment. Candidates that do not have a culinary degree must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years fine dining experience cooking international and regional cuisine. All candidates must possess a San Diego Food Handler's card and must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English. 

Overnight Cook | Full-Time
The Overnight Cook is responsible to prepare and serve food items for guests and employees during the overnight. Complete nightly prep work and to prepare for breakfast shift. Maintain established quality standards. Know assigned menus. Must be self-motivated, dependable, reliable and willing to work under minimal supervision. Successful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years cooking experience in a fine dining environment. Candidates that do not have a culinary degree must have a minimum of 3 years cooking experience in breakfast and lunch in international and regional cooking in a fine dining establishment.

Restaurant Host/Hostess | Full-Time & Part-Time available
The person in this role Serve as consistent point of contact for restaurant outlets. Courteously greets and escorts guests to assigned tables and assist in seating, ensuring existing standards of service. Answering phone calls as necessary with the highest level of professional language in a calm, clear and concise manner. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience as a host/greeter in an up-scale restaurant environment, English communication skills, Engaging, warm personality, and a valid San Diego Food Handler's Card. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Spa Attendant (Men's guest areas) | Full-Time
The Spa Attendant's role is to insure that the entire spa and fitness facility (with special focus on the men's locker room and changing areas) exceeds the guests' expectation for cleanliness and is properly stocked with all amenities. The Spa Attendant will be aware of guest appointments and flow of business so they can be proactive in cleaning and the clearing of the locker rooms and relaxation area after every use. 

Spa Concierge | Full-Time
The Spa Concierge is responsible for scheduling and promoting spa services on the phone and in person. The Spa Concierge provides information about our products and service menu, product ingredients and spa facility to enhance the guests experience and promote Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa. The Spa Concierge  is responsible to give thorough tours with detailed information to all guests so they can benefit from all aspects of the spa offerings The Spa Concierge supports all aspects of retail and compiles statistical information as needed and requested. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience in an up-scale customer service related field, engaging, warm personality, and the ability to communicate proficiently in English.

Spa Fitness Attendant | Full-Time & Part-Time available
The Fitness attendant’s primary role is to anticipate and satisfy all guests needs in the fitness studios throughout the day and to set up, maintain  and provide a pristine level of cleanliness in the Spa pool, movement studio, Pilates studio, Yoga pavilion and fitness center.  The attendant also provides water, and towels to guests during classes and workouts.This position requires flexible availability to work varied shifts including weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings and holidays. This position requires the ability to lift, pull, carry and push 40lbs frequently, and 60 lbs. occasionally. Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.

Spa Massage Therapist | Part-Time and On-Call available
This position requires a minimum of 2 years Massage experience in a resort spa setting, overall minimum of 5 years' experience, excellent Swedish, Deep Therapeutic, Hot Stone and pre-natal massage, SD County license & CA Certification of Massage. Must be able to communicate proficiently in English. 

Seasonal Positions

Pool Server | Part-Time
The Pool Server is responsible for taking all orders accurately and entering orders into POS system. Assisting and anticipating all guests’ needs. In charge of setting up and breaking down Pool Station daily. Keeps Pool area sanitary and safe at all times, while providing luxurious service and amenities multiple times within each shift.
