Front Office Manager
The Front Office Manager oversees and leads the day to day operation of the front office including (Front desk, Concierge, PBX, Gate Greeter and Guest services) ensuring that highest standard of services are maintained. The Front Office Manager should possess strong communication skills and demonstrate leadership abilities. Strives to continually improve guest and employee satisfaction and maximize the financial performance of the department. This position will respond quickly to guest requests and/or complaints in a friendly manner and ensure that appropriate action is taken to guarantee guest satisfaction. The person in this role also is a seasoned trainer in both technical and service related practices and tasks; leads FORBES and AAA training and ensures adherence to the same.

Housekeeping Assistant Manager
The Housekeeping Assistant Manager will work with all departments to ensure guest satisfaction and exceed their expectations. This position requires previous experience in a four or five diamond resort environment. Must have flexible availability to work weekends and certain evening shifts. Must have and customer service skills and must be able to communicate proficiently in English.

Spa Concierge - Phone Reservations | Full-time
The person in this role will focus on answering spa phone calls with an emphasis on scheduling and promoting spa services on the phone. This individual provides information about our products and service menu, product ingredients, and spa facility to enhance the guests experience and promote Rancho Valencia Resort and Spa. The Spa Reservationist is occasionally responsible to give thorough tours with detailed information to guests so they can benefit from all aspects of the spa offerings The Spa Reservationist also supports the Spa Concierge with retail and compiles statistical information as needed and requested.

Barback | Full-time
The person in this role is responsible for stocking the bar with liquor, ice, glassware, garnishes, and any other items needed. This position requires 1 year current experience as a barback in a fine dining/upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card, and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Bar and Restaurant Server Assistants | Full-time and Part-time Available  This position will assist restaurant servers in providing quality food and beverage service to guests, according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment. This position requires 1 year current experience as a food runner in a fine dining environment and 2-3 years experience as a bus person in a upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Bar and Restaurant Food Runners | Full-time and Part-time available
This position requires 6 months current experience as a food runner in a fine dining environment and 1-2 years experience as a bus person in a upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Banquets Bartender | On-Call  Courteously, enthusiastically, and efficiently takes orders, prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and meals to guests in accordance with existing steps of service. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience as a bartender in a resort or banquet environment. Must have a valid San Diego Food Handlers card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. 

Front Desk Night Auditor | Full-time Overnight
This overnight position assists guests with needs including but not limited to guest check-in and check-out, assistance with luggage, delivery of overnight meal orders and morning delivery of orange juice. In addition the person in this position is responsible for basic reconciliation of reports, and other basic accounting. The ideal candidate must be self motivated, must have good judgment and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision proficient English communication and strong computer skills required.

Front Desk Agent | Part-time
Assists with all guest arrival and departures including the check-in and check-out process, modifies and creates reservations following specific protocols. The person in this role is the liaison for the guest and various departments. The person in this role must be proficient and comfortable multi-tasking, using the computer system, answering phone calls and making sure to do it all with graciousness and genuine warmth. Must have flexible availability to work morning, mid-morning and afternoon shifts.

Housekeeping Minibar/Tennis Attendant | Full-time (Floater - covering days off)
This position will cover the Minibar Attendant and Tennis Attendant's days off. The person in this floater position will be responsible for the cleanliness of tennis complex and exterior including patios, entrance areas, stairwell, walkways, tennis courts and pro shop 2 days a week and will clean, maintain and stock all mini bars in vacant and occupied guest rooms along with the delivery of guest welcome amenities before and upon arrival for 2 days a week. Must be able to lift/carry up to 25lbs. frequently and 50lbs. occasionally. Flexible availability to work mornings, weekends, and holidays. Must have basic English communication skills.

Housekeeping Supervisor | Full-time
The person in this role will train, monitor and direct the housekeeping staff at the Villas to ensure duties are prioritized and time is used efficiently. Along with supervising, this person will also have room attendant cleaning duties in the Villas. Villa Supervisor contributes to the resort commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork. Requires strong English communications skills, previous cleaning experience in a luxury Hotel/Resort environment.

Line Cooks | Full-time and Part-time Available
This position is responsible for preparing and planning for breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Maintains established quality standards. Know assigned menus and be able to assist other employeesSuccessful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years culinary work experience in a fine dining environment. Candidates that do not have a culinary degree must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years fine dining experience cooking international and regional cuisine. All candidates must possess a San Diego Food Handler's card and must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English.  

Pastry Cooks | Part-time
The Pastry Cook is responsible for preparing and planning of sweet items, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, breads and chocolates for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as various specialty items for amenities and special functions. Maintains established quality standards. Knows assigned menus and be able to assist other employees. This position requires culinary degree with 1-2 years pastry experience in fine dining or without culinary degree, 3 to 4 years pastry work experience including breakfast and lunch in international and regional cooking in a fine dining establishment.

Reservations Supervisor | Full-time
Provides support to the Reservations Manager and assists in overseeing agents performance, departmental operations and incoming reservation calls and emails. The person in this position will assist with training of staff, makes guest reservations in accordance to shop criteria, reconciles folios, manages the agent commission process and assists in monitoring and maintaining various forms of electronic and internet reservation data. The supervisor is also responsible for generating various reports per the established schedule. This position requires pervious Reservation Sales experience in a luxury environment. Previous supervisory experience helpful.

Spa Fitness Attendant | Full-time
This position combines light cleaning and stocking duties along with amenity deliveries and service to the guests. The ability to lift and carry 30 pounds frequently is required. Attendant assists with cleaning of fitness areas and pool as well as stocking of towels, beverages and general tidying as needed. Also sets up and breaks down classrooms to prepare for the next class such as spin, Pilates, yoga.

Spa Cleaner | Part-time
The Spa Cleaner works very early morning shifts in order to complete most of the cleaning prior to the spa opening for the day. The person in this role is responsible for cleaning spa treatment rooms, waiting areas, locker rooms and the Fitness facilities and will also transport linen to and from the laundry area. This position requires availability to work Saturday & Sunday at 4am. Basic English communication skills and previous cleaning work experience necessary.

Spa Locker Attendant | Part-time
The Spa Attendant ensures that the spa and fitness facility are clean, tidy and well stocked in all areas including but not limited to the locker rooms and common areas. The Spa Attendant will be aware of guest appointments and flow of business so they can be proactive in cleaning and the clearing of the locker rooms and relaxation area after every use and will interact with the guests to offer direction to the various areas of the spa and to answer any guest questions. This position requires basic English communication skills, ability to work standing and walking for most of the shift and the ability to lift/carry 30 pounds frequently.

Spa Supervisor | Full-time
This position supports the Spa and Fitness Management's initiatives to provide exceptional service to the guests and to the staff. The person in this role is responsible for training staff, monitoring performance and reporting to management when corrective action is needed. Success in this role requires previous leadership experience, exceptional communication skills, strong ability to learn electronic booking systems and must have a warm demeanor, even in the trickiest situations. Previous Resort, Spa or Salon supervisory experience required

Tennis Pro (for Junior Tennis program) | Full-time
The person in this role will provide Tennis lessons for our Junior Tennis program and will contribute to the overall property goals of offering a unique and outstanding tennis and resort experience. This position requires related experience (a minimum of 4.5 level) as well as teaching and coaching experience. Must be certified USTA, USPTA, or PTR member and must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English . Previous experience coaching children is greatly preferred.
