Assistant Director of Finance
The person in this role supports the Director of Finance in the administration of all financial aspects of the Resort's operations, prepares all financial statements, and leads the Finance staff in the adherence to all company policies and procedures. The Assistant DOF oversees the day to day supervision of the accounting office, leads and motivates the Finance team and plays an integral part in the ongoing efforts to educate staff. The person in this role will be willing and able to help instill finance concepts and methods to those in non-Finance positions. Success in this position requires full knowledge and understanding of Hotel operation and integrates him or herself in supporting the overall property goals. Previous experience in a multi-use environment such as Home Owner Associations and Fractional Ownership allocations is desirable but not required.

Banquet Chef
Under the guidance of the Executive chef, the Banquet Chef is responsible for managing the culinary program for private events and the employee Cafe. The Banquet Chef ensures, consistently high quality food product, develops and leads a positive work environment while ensuring guest and employee satisfaction and maximizing revenues.  The person in this role attends Banquet Event Order meetings, places orders for the product needed for the events, collaborates with the sales team for client tastings, and responds well to event changes that may occur. This position will also execute holiday production for buffet events, as well as work in the restaurants to provide coverage or assistance as needed.  

Front Office Assistant Manager
The Front Office Assistant Manager assists the Front Office Manager in overseeing day to day operation of the Front office including (Front desk, Concierge, PBX, Gate House, Guest services and Night Audit) and ensuring that highest standard of services are maintained. Position directs and works with managers and employees to carry out procedures ensuring an efficient check in and checkout process. Ensures guest and employee satisfaction and maximizes the financial performance of the department. The person in this role is the primary evening Manager on Duty. This position requires a minimum of two years Rooms Division experience in four for five diamont resort.

Banquet Server | On-Call
The Banquet Server provides food and beverage service to the guest in a gracious professional manner. Provides a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of our existing steps of service. This position requires a minimum of 3 years banquet server experience in a 4 or 5 star resort environment. Must have a valid San Diego Food Handlers card and must be able to communicate proficiently in English.

Bar Food Runners | Part-Time
This position requires 6 months current experience as a food runner in a fine dining environment and 1-2 years experience as a bus person in a upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Bar Server Assistant | Part-Time
This position will assist restaurant servers in providing quality food and beverage service to guests, according to hotel specifications, courteously and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness of tables, service areas and equipment. This position requires 1 year current experience as a food runner in a fine dining environment and 2-3 years experience as a bus person in a upscale environment. Must have a valid San Diego food handler's card and the ability to communicate proficiently in English. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.  

Front Office Agent | Full-Time
The Front Office Agent represents the resort to the guests throughout their stay by working with all departments to ensure guest satisfaction and exceed their expectation. The person in this role greets guests with an enthusiastic approach and helpful manner. Assist and anticipate guests’ needs in order to make their stay memorable, provide a high level of service and promote Rancho Valencia notoriety. This position requires customer service experience preferably in an upscale hotel or resort environment. Must be computer literate, knowledge of Word and Excel. Must have flexible availability for varying shift days and times. Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English. 

Housekeeping Turndown Attendant | Part-Time
Turndown attendant is responsible for the cleanliness of the guest rooms (interior and exterior including guest patios, entrance areas and kitchens). Turndown shifts are the afternoon shifts into evening.   Other responsibilities include deep cleaning and performing special projects.  Turn down attendants contribute to the resorts commitment to high quality guest service and teamwork.  This position requires 2 years housekeeping experience preferably in a resort or hotel environment. The person in this role must be able to push/pull/lift a minimum of 25lbs. frequently and 30lbs. occasionally and be able to stand for a long periods of time . Must have basic English communication skills.

In-Room Dining Server | Full-Time
The person in this role serves guests food and beverage in a gracious professional manner. Provides a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of existing steps of service. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience in Room Service in an resort environment, English communication skills, Engaging, warm personality, and a valid San Diego Food Handler's Card. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. 

Line Cooks | Full-time and Part-Time available
This position is responsible for preparing and planning for breakfast, lunch and dinner items. Maintains established quality standards. Know assigned menus and be able to assist other employees. Successful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years culinary work experience in a fine dining environment. Candidates that do not have a culinary degree must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years fine dining experience cooking international and regional cuisine. All candidates must possess a San Diego Food Handler's card and must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English.

Maintenance Technician | Full-Time
The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machines, equipment, plumbing, heating air conditioning, and refrigerating systems. A Maintenance Technician keeps all structures in working order through maintenance and repairs. Some duties include pipe fitting, insulating, boiler making, welding, carpentry, machining, repairing electrical or mechanical equipment, installing new equipment, and repairing walls, floors and stairs. This position requires 5 years maintenance experience including but not limited to: basic electrical, dry-wall, plumbing, wood repairs, TV, Internet, a/c, troubleshooting and repair, must communicate proficiently in English. Previous experience in hotel or resort environment preferred, current extended certifications in a/c and refrigeration are a plus. 

Restaurant Host/Hostess | Full-Time & Part-Time available
The person in this role Serve as consistent point of contact for restaurant outlets. Courteously greets and escorts guests to assigned tables and assist in seating, ensuring existing standards of service. Answering phone calls as necessary with the highest level of professional language in a calm, clear and concise manner. This position requires a minimum of 1-2 years current experience as a host/greeter in an up-scale restaurant environment, English communication skills, Engaging, warm personality, and a valid San Diego Food Handler's Card. Must have flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays. 

Restaurant Server | Full-Time A.M. & P.M. Available
The person in this role will serve guests food and beverage in a gracious professional manner. This position will provide a comfortable, exceptional dining experience through the consistent implementation of our existing steps of service. Maintain and improve check averages to ensure the financial success of the operation. This position requires also requires a minimum of 2 year work experience as a server or captain in a Fine Dining environment.  Must have knowledge of spirits, wine, champagne, mixed cocktails. San Diego Food Handlers card and ability to communicate proficiently in English is required.  

Restaurant Server Assistant P.M. | Full-Time

Spa Massage Therapist | On-Call  
This position requires a minimum of 2 years Massage experience in a resort spa setting, overall minimum of 5 years' experience, excellent Swedish, Deep Therapeutic, Hot Stone and pre-natal massage, SD County license & CA Certification of Massage. Must be able to communicate proficiently in English. 

Spa Nail Technician | On-Call
The person in this role will provide professional care of nails for members and guests, provide uncompromised attention to quality of service and follow all protocols. This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience and a current State Board License. Must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English and must be available to work Sundays and Mondays, including holidays.

Seasonal Positions

Pool Attendants | Full-Time and Part-Time available
The pool attendant’s primary role is to engage with pool guests in order to ensure the guest has all needed amenities and supplies.  While tending to guests, the Attendant is also responsible for the set up and tidiness o the pool at all times throughout the shift.  This requires maintaining a pristine level of cleanliness and organization in the following areas; Spa pool, Resort pool, Cabanas, lounge chairs, restrooms and pool locker rooms.  The attendant also provides water, clean towels; refreshing spritz and delivers daily amenities to guests throughout the day.

Pool Cooks | Full-Time and Part-Time available
This positions maintains established quality standards. Know assigned menus and be able to assist other employees. Successful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years culinary work experience in a fine dining environment.
