Catering & Conference Services Manager
The Catering and Conference Services Manager is responsible for booking and coordinating social and special occasion private events including weddings and corporate meetings. The person in this position will develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed established revenue goals, respond to catering inquiries, qualify leads, solicit potential clients via telephone prospecting and sales calls, conduct site visits, prepare proposals and negotiate catering contracts. The Catering and Conference Services Manager will also manage and coordinate all conferences, meetings, group functions and group activities booked through the sales department. Candidates must bring a minimum of two years of catering and conference services management experience in a luxury environment, preferably in a resort or hotel setting.
This management position will be responsible for running a specific culinary outlet on a daily basis under the direct supervision of the Executive Chef. The Sous Chef will maintain established quality standards, develop and lead a positive work environment and improve guest and employee satisfaction while maximizing revenues. Success in this role requires a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years culinary supervisory experience or, without a degree requires a minimum of 6 years experience as a culinary supervisor in multiple culinary/food & beverage departments within a fine dining environment.
Banquet Captain | Full-Time
This position requires a minimum of 5 years Captain experience in a 4 or 5 star resort environment. Must have cash handling and point of sales experience. Must be have basic computer knowledge and able to communicate proficiently in English.
Banquet Server | On-Call
This position requires a minimum of 3 years banquet server experience in a 4 or 5 star resort environment. Must have a valid San Diego Food Handlers card and must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
In-Room Dining Server | On-Call
This position requires 1 year current experience as an In-Room Dining server in a 4 or 5 star hotel. Must have the ability to lift/carry up to 25lbs. frequently and 40lbs. occasionally. Must have a valid San Diego Food Handlers card, and must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
Line Cooks | Full-Time
Successful candidates have a culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years culinary work experience in a fine dining environment. Candidates that do not have a culinary degree must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years fine dining experience cooking international and regional cuisine. All candidates must possess a San Diego Food Handler's card and must have the ability to communicate proficiently in English.
Massage Therapist | On-Call
This position requires a minimum of 2 years Massage experience in a resort spa setting, overall minimum of 5 years experience, excellent Swedish, Deep Therapeutic, Hot Stone and pre-natal massage, NCBTMB certification (dated within two years of hire), SD County license & CA Certification of Massage. Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
PBX Phone Operator | Full-Time
This position requires exceptional phone manner, polished communication skills and demeanor, and the ability to work well independently and with a team. Flexible availability to work weekends, holidays and both day and evening shifts required. The ideal candidate has previous hotel PBX operator experience, previous front desk experience helpful.
